I’m Elliott. I run a small studio just outside London and work with artists on songwriting, recording, production and mixing on a case by case basis. It’s not a commercial facility. It’s a private setup I’ve built over the years so I can do the work properly, at the right pace with artists I believe in and want to see succeed, without the pitfalls and hidden costs of commercial studio work that i've seen time and time again.Located in the beautiful countryside less than 10 minutes from Gatwick Airport, Fallow Season is just a quick train away for any artists looking to get away from the cramped & pricey London studios

I’ve spent a lot of time in commercial studios. Good rooms, good gear, solid engineers. For growing artists who already know exactly what they need, those places work fine.
What I kept noticing, though, was newer artists — often genuinely talented — walking in and spending serious money on sessions that were never going to get them where they wanted to go. Not because anyone was trying to take advantage, but because of a common misconception that anyone can just walk into a studio and come out with a record. Commercial studios are a business, they (through no fault of their own) optimise for filling their calendar and booking their rooms.
I got tired of watching that happen, so I created Fallow Season.

How I work
I take on a small number of projects at a time. We talk properly about the song and what it’s trying to do. Then we figure out the best route to a strong result — that could mean full production, a focused vocal session, or just a clean mix of something you’ve already tracked.
I’m not interested in selling you a full day if three hours remote work will do the job better. I’m also not interested in treating you like you another session in my diary. Artists I choose to work with have taste and ambition; my goal is to mentor and fill in the blanks to save you money, time and headaches - whilst we make some good ass music.

The Space/ The music
The studio is in the Surrey countryside, a 30min fast-train away from spots like London Bridge or London Victoria. Quiet, private, no front desk, no other sessions happening next door. A fully detached production house with a large studio room & lounge, as well as a toilet and kitchenette.I work in anything under the broad umbrella of 'pop' that excites me, wether that means the string sections and organic guitars of indie-folk, the trap/hiphop drums and sound design of hyperpop, or anything in-between.
